WWA Worlds Rusty CN - Web
For the first time ever the WWA Wakeboard Worlds, presented by Rockstar, will be hosted in Canada! Open to both Amateurs and Pros alike, the World Championships will take place in Toronto August 25-28 at the “CNE Waterfront” on the Ontario Place Watersports Course that was revamped for last year’s Pan Am Games wakeboard and water ski events.

The timing of the Worlds coincides with Toronto’s “CNE” – Canadian National Exhibiton, which is Canada’s largest annual fair featuring amusement park rides and games, music concerts, entertainment showcases, food exhibits and more. Worlds competitors will have access to the “CNE” throughout the event.

The Ontario Place Water Course is also adjacent to the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre, one of Toronto’s foremost concert venues. For anyone who enjoys live music, some of the bigger bands performing around the Worlds week include: Blink 182 (Aug. 21); Korn & Rob Zombie (Aug. 23); Prophets of Rage (Aug. 24); Counting Crows & Rob Thomas (Aug. 26); Black Sabbath (Aug. 29).

Amateur wakeboard and wakeskate competition is scheduled to take place Thursday August 25 and Friday August 26, while the Pros compete on Saturday August 27 and Sunday August 28.

The WWA Worlds is a four-star WWA Wakeboard World Series and the final event of the 2016 Nautique Wake Series featuring USD $60,000 in pro prize money.
